It was a fun Friday today! The fifth graders have the responsibility for choosing the school yearbook cover, and this morning each class chose 2 covers they liked. On Monday, we'll use Edmodo to select our final choice.
After PE (badminton) the school hosted a Vitamin L concert, which included 6 young singers who were former South Hill Students on stage. How inspirational!
We chose books for our next independent book project, and had some time for silent reading in our day. Students will be reading an award winning book and writing a report about it. We'll post the reports on our blogs.
Speaking of blogs, a class in England has been posting comments on our blog. Also, South Hill's third graders are beginning their own blogs, and spent time reading and commenting on ours to learn what it was all about.
We couldn't resist going outside and playing with our Kindergarten buddies this week, as the sun was out and shining away.
Some students have work to complete over the weekend. Our Ithaca blogs and Scientist/Inventor projects are past due. OUr upcoming due date is the DARE essay on Monday. Students have had 3 class sessions to work on it, and if they are not done, it should be completed at home. We are working on scheduling our DARE graduation in
