This morning in Music we got to see a real African drum that was made by a friend of Mr. K's.
In Math, we had a multiplication quiz and split up for our Math Olympiad problem-solving groups.
We had our spelling and vocabulary test for the week. We are working to get this done quickly and efficiently.
During our Human Rights time, we worked on figuring out vocabulary words in the Introduction to the UDHR through context and by looking at roots, prefixes and suffixes. We are working on vocabulary such as inalienable and fundamental.
After lunch, our student teacher, Ms. Cavenaugh,, taught a lesson about making inferences while we read. We read an article about a newly-discovered billboard-sized Mayan tablet.
The pictures above are from our Kindergarten buddy activity. We decorated the signs we made that say "Welcome, friend!" in many languages. They will be displayed at the Family Reading Partnership bookfest next weekend.
